Ideas For Developing A Good Marketing System

A good marketing system is essential for a successful home based business. Unfortunately, most home based business sites severely lack any useful information that can help you succeed in building one.

So, what does a marketing system accomplish for you?

• It attracts prospects to you!
• It automatically weeds out “window-shoppers” and prospects that are not ready to take action.

This leaves you with only the best prospects to speak with. These are the ones who are ready to buy your products, or to take action with your business opportunity.

• It converts potential prospects/customers into paying ones.
• It follows-up with your prospects and/or customers.

This gives the prospects/customers a feeling that you care about their needs, and it also gives a sense of professionalism. All this in turn builds trust with your prospects/customers, which now view you as a source to get valuable information rather than a salesman trying to sell them something they do not need.

In short, a good marketing system takes care of most of the least profitable activities , and allows you to concentrate your efforts on the more profitable activities (the activities that bring in revenue).

Applying An Effective Marketing System God’s Way

Earlier we had discussed, in God is a Businessman , how God uses a good marketing system to conduct business. Now, we are going to focus on how we can apply what we learned there to starting our own successful online business.

We learned that God uses multiple marketing systems that all work together to display the glory and majesty of Him. (They all bring more traffic and exposure to Him by way of attraction.) These systems include:

• Creation
• The Bible
• Jesus
• Believers
• The Holy Spirit

Creation is the first line of marketing that God uses. Even if you have never heard a word of the Bible, have no idea who Jesus is, never met a Christian in your life, there is always the whole of Creation in front of everyone’s face pointing directly at God, the Creator.

This is a freebie that God gives to everyone in the world to attract people to Him. Though this step is optional for a business, it is something to consider. FREE things are always a good way to gain more traffic, and traffic is what you want. You might have to do some research to find free tools, ebooks, etc… on whatever you decide your business will focus on, but it is easily doable to find something to offer.

The Bible and Jesus are two systems that go together, after all, Jesus is the Word.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us..” –John 1:1, 14a (NKJV)

These two systems accomplish a few important tasks. They not only attract people, but they also weed out the uninterested people from the interested ones, and convert the potential prospects into customers (believers) by preselling the prospects with GREAT content!

In order to accomplish this for your home based business, you will need to gain exposure on the internet. There are many ways to gain exposure through marketing, and here are a few of them:

• Building your own unique website
• Content Sharing sites
• Blogging
• Writing Articles
• Marketing on social sites (i.e. Facebook, Myspace)
• YouTube Videos.

And all of these campaigns would give your potential customers an opportunity to know who you are and what your about before you even speak with them. And the campaigns would also direct your potential customers whom you presold with your great content to a landing page that is provided by the company you are associated with, or the website you personally set up.

Believers and the Holy Spirit. These two systems also go hand-and-hand because the Holy Spirit works in and through the lives of believers. The Spirit brings legitimacy to the product that God offers (the salvation of souls) and the believer becomes a truly satisfied customer that wants to get the message out about how God changed their lives.

The best way to mirror these types of marketing systems is to provide quality products and strive for customer satisfaction. If you take care of the customers needs, then the customers will take care of your needs by telling everyone they know how satisfied they are with your product and service. Thereby, giving you more business from repeat customers and new ones alike.

Profitable Activities

The lessons we can take from above to build a solid marketing system are:

• Position yourself as a professional and expert in your field of interest.
• Provide quality content for your target market.
• Attract customers to you by building a website, or marketing on social sites, or both. This will bring you the traffic your business needs.
• Presell your customers by over-delivering with your great content.
• Automate your marketing and sales system.

These last two activities are profitable as well, but they do not apply to God’s System because He knows everything and needs no counsel.

• Seek out worthy counsel and/or partners.
• Study how to attract prospects/customers to you and how to presell your opportunities/products to them.
